Welcome to our office!

We are excited to have the opportunity to provide you or your loved one with orthodontic care. We work hard as a team to make sure your experience here is as easy and rewarding as possible.

Our mission is the golden rule, treat others the way you would want to be treated yourself. We are committed to providing a welcoming and friendly office. We treat our patients and their families as if they were our own.

Please don’t hesitate to call us with any questions you may have and we look forward to meeting you!

What Sets us apart

Our financing is easy

Because the cost of treatment varies from patient to patient, an initial consultation is necessary. We offer 0% interest financing to make treatment as affordable as possible. We accept almost all insurances including PASSPORT, Humana CareSource, and Aetna Better Health.

You always see the doctor

Here at Zeh Orthodontics, we believe it is important to always see the same doctor to make sure treatment is progressing as planned. You will always see Dr. Zeh at every appointment so that any concerns or questions can be addressed.

Efficient and on-time

We love our patients but we know that you don’t want to spend all day with us. That is why it is our goal to always be on time and efficient with your appointments. We all have so much going on in our lives, sometimes it can be hard to fit an orthodontic appointment. We promise that we will be respectful of your time. If you aren’t in a hurry, please stay and visit!

We care about you!

As we have already said, our mission is to treat you the way we would want to be treated. You become part of our family during and after your treatment. We care about your interests and activities. We want to hear about your upcoming vacations, your sports teams and especially your pets! Our goal is to make sure you feel welcome and that going to the orthodontist is fun and not something to dread. We always welcome and encourage family members to come back with the patient to make sure all questions are answered and everyone is aware of what is going on.

Remember those goopy impressions that you had when you were a kid? We do too! At Zeh Orthodontics, our goal is to introduce technology that makes the experience better for our patients and that starts with our digital impressions. Instead of filling a tray with goop, we use a small digital scanner to record the position of your teeth and bite. This creates a digital model of your teeth which we can then use to diagnose teeth and bite problems, make appliances, or retainers. Sorry parents, but your children won’t get to experience what you did!

Treatment Options

Here at Zeh Orthodontics we have several different options for treatment:

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Our braces are made right here in America of high-grade stainless steel. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastomers (the colors you see on braces) for a more unique and colorful smile.

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on aesthetically-conscious teenagers and adult patients. These braces are only noticeable up close.

Clear aligners are a series of precision-manufactured custom plastic trays that straighten your teeth like braces. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle.

Every smile starts with a FREE initial consultation!

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

  • Review your dental and medical history forms

  • Provide a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary

  • Help you create a customized treatment plan

  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial consultation.

What happens after the initial consultation?

Once you decide that you are ready to begin treatment, we will schedule a time to either place braces or your clear aligners. This can usually be done the same day as the consultation if you are ready to begin and do not want to have to return for a second appointment. This appointment usually takes around an hour and includes the placement of appliances, instructions on how to take care of your appliances and some goodies!

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist about every six to ten weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.

We understand that life happens! If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly staff will assist you. We're looking forward to working with you!

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.

Dr. Evan Zeh DMD, MS

Being an orthodontist is more than straightening teeth and correcting bites: it’s about creating a transformation, inside and out. Every day I have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives, moving them from feeling uncertain about their appearance to feeling confident and smiling. I enjoy the bonds that form during treatment. Seeing a patient regularly, and spending time talking and sharing stories allows me to get to know each of our patients and their families, as well as their interests when they aren't in the orthodontic chair. Our patients and their families are not just with us for a couple of years, we consider them part of our practice family forever.

I attended Bellarmine University for my Bachelor’s degree. I then moved to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). I stayed at UK to complete a three-year orthodontic residency and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree.

Orthodontics is constantly changing, and the arrival of new technologies, appliances, and techniques mean more and better options for patients. Throughout the year I complete many hours of continuing education, as well as attend meetings and lectures. This keeps me current on developments and allows me to determine what does and doesn’t work.

Additionally, I’m an active member of several professional orthodontic and dental organizations. These memberships allow me to learn from the leading researchers and practitioners in the field and from my fellow orthodontists, too. I am a member of the:

  • American Association of Orthodontists

  • Southern Association of Orthodontists

  • Kentucky Association of Orthodontists

  • American Dental Association

  • Kentucky Dental Association

  • Louisville Dental Society

We have a wonderful team at Zeh Orthodontics. Each of them has been through the orthodontic experience, some on their own, some with their children. This gives them insight into what our patients and parents experience and allows them to clearly answer questions and provide encouragement.

I’ve lived in Louisville my entire life, except when I was in Lexington for my dental and orthodontic education. When not in the office, I’m usually spending time with my wife, Katherine, our son, Elliott, our daughter, Claire, and our dog, Bella. We enjoy going on walks and to the park together. I also enjoy working on our cars, playing golf, and relaxing.

Amy works both at the front desk and also in the clinic with patients. She checks patients in and out of appointments, provides school/work excuses and helps patients and their families with scheduling and any other questions they may have. She also works with patients in the clinic.

Amy lives in Simpsonville and she and her husband have four children. Much of her time is spent with her kids activities including dance, hockey, lacrosse, and band. She enjoys playing the violin and hiking when she has the time!

Anyel works individually with our patients in the clinic when they come in for appointments. She is fluent in Spanish and English. She enjoys being a part of transforming the smiles of our patients. She works with placing and removing braces/aligners, changing wires and colors, taking x-rays, digital impressions and helping our patients to maintain their oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.

Outside of work she likes to spend time with the sweetest kitty ever and puppy, her dog, Papi, and her cat, Misu.

Diana works in the front office, where she reviews and sets financial contracts with patients. She also handles insurance matters, including filing and follow up, so people don’t need to stress over the paperwork. Her goal is to make the financial side of orthodontic treatment as painless and easy as possible so that families can focus on their beautiful smiles.

She and her husband have two children, Jake and Olivia, and their dog, Bella. Much of her free time is spent with family. She also enjoys cooking, yoga, and making all the fun things she finds on Pinterest.

Heather works individually with our patients as a clinician. With 20 years of experience, she enjoys transforming patient’s smiles. As a clinician, Heather works directly with Dr. Zeh placing and removing braces/aligners, changing wires and colors, taking x-rays, digital impressions and helping our patients to maintain their oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her bestie, her dog, Ariana.
